Welcome to the Leaseholder's Group Home Page, where you can find details about forthcoming meetings and read copies of minutes from earlier meetings.
Although CHP is require by law to formally consult leaseholders on issues relating to the management of their estates and homes, leaseholders are regarded as important stakeholders whose opinion has to be valued.
The leaseholders group is the platform that brings together all leaseholders for whom CHP is landlord. Its purpose is to identify issues of common concern to leaseholders and to work out solutions.
The group provides an opportunity for leaseholders to tell CHP about the things they consider as important to them, and how they expect CHP as freeholder to meet its statutory obligation in maintaining its buildings and services. Through its activities, leaseholders are assured of their opportunity to influence how services are delivered to them by CHP as the freeholder.
The group meets every three months during which it tackles issues such as service provisions, service charges, planned maintenance, major works, management charges, changes in the law relating to leasehold management and any other issue that may be of particular importance to any individual leaseholder or the group as a whole. For example, the new layout of service charge bills has been influenced by the request of leaseholders, and consultation between CHP on one hand and the leaseholders group on the other.
